This product is prepared as per traditional Ayurvedic standards. This means the micro pulverized powder of the herb impregnates with its own juice or decoction by trituration (bhavna). The trituration accentuates hidden medicinal properties of the herb and to ensure that the herb, as soon as administered, is absorbed quickly at the cell level. Subtlety should be the quality by virtue of which a product can penetrate in to the smallest capillary and channels of the biological system.

Dashmula Kwath (Fine Powder) acts as Dietary Support. It is based on traditional Ayurvedic formula.

Dashmula Kwath is a mixture of ten roots – five small roots and five big roots - which are sourced and processed completely as per Ayurvedic formula mentioned in the ancient Ayurvedic textbooks. Dash means “Ten”, Mula means “Root” and “Kwath” means “Combination of Extracts”. The joint action of these roots is to support balancing of the three Doshas (Humors) - Vata (Air), Pitta (Fire), and Kapha (Water).

Dashmula Kwath is helpful for general strength of the body. It is commonly prepared as a tea for Basti (Herbal Enema). It is supportive diet for females for healthy reproductive organs. It is also helpful for females in their gynecological processes. It helps to supports the healthy hormone levels which are already within balanced and healthy state.

Dashmula Kwath is helpful for healthy eyes, feet, lactation, vaginal health and support overall body strength.

INGREDIENTS

Composition

The Ten Herbs of Dashmula Kwath are:

Bael (Aegle Marmelos), Gambhari (Gmelina Arborea), Shyonaka (Oroxylum Indicum), Kantkari (Solanum Virginianum), Brihati (Solanum Anguivi), Shalaparni (Desmodium Gangeticum), Prishni Parni (Uraria Picta), Arani (Premna Serratifolia), Gokhru (Tribulus Terrestris), and Patala (Stereospermum Suaveolens).

Bael help to regulates thirst and healthy body temperature. Gambhari supports healthy water level in the body which is already in healthy state. Shyonaka is useful for throat health. Kantkari is used for healthy passing the vata [air] from body and to maintain morning regularity.  Brihati supports to balance excess Kapha (Water) and Pitta (Fire) Doshas (Humors). Shalaparni helps to support healthy nervous system. Prishni Parni is quite effective for bone health. Arani helps to support nerves. Patala support nervous system and liver functions.

HOW TO PREPARE DECOCTION?

In 10 grams of Dashmula Kwath (Coarse Powder) add 160 ml of water. Then boil it, till it reduce to 40 ml. Filter the decoction and allow it to cool for some time. Always use lukewarm decoction for oral intake. Decoction must be used within 5-6 hours of preparation.

Note: This decoction is helpful to balance excess Vata (Air), but if this state is chronic, use with "Yograj Guggulu".

DIRECTION FOR USE

Serving Size:

Take the Decoction prepared from Dashmula Kwath (Coarse Powder) as stated above 2 times a day after meals. If you are mixing with other herbs, use Dashmula Proportionately or consult your healthcare provider.

For females decoction of Dashmula Kwath is beneficial and should be given for 2-3 months.

Foods to Avoid

Avoid taking Rajmah (kidney beans), rice, banana, alcohol, red meat products, citric/sour foods, acidic products, fats, Bhindi (okra/lady's finger), chocolate, dry nuts, (having less oil), curd, fish, jaggery (honey) junk food, peas, sea food, preserved, stored, canned food products and fried food, and Cold drinks. Heavy meals should be avoided.

Foods to Favour

Eat fresh green leafy vegetables, Unpolished Rice, Wheat, Gram (Lentils), Soup of Moong (Yellow Lentils) - (Pharsalus Mungo), Cow or Goat Milk, Garlic, Ginger, and Foods having Pungent and Bitter taste is useful in joint health. Also use fresh butter or Ghee as a source of fat. Intake of food/liquid having room temperature is recommended.

Do’s

  1. Take some purgatives and foods that promote regularity, and fibre rich diet which conserve your bowel habits. Use with the recommendation of your health care practitioner.
  2. Live a life with positive thinking and free of daily life stress.

Don’t:

  1. Do not take up heavy duty work and excess exertion.

Factors to consider

Wild crafted herbs from their natural habitat without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or preservatives.

Our naturally grown wild crafted herbs come from their natural habitat. Aborigine also plays its role in the efficacy of the herb. The properties of herb may differ from region to region. Satveda makes every effort to collect the herbs from their aborigines. Natural habitat plays a key role in the potency of herbs, which is why we use wild crafted herbs, as opposed cultivated ones. Every herb is collected from its natural habitat as naturally grown herbs are assumed to be more potent.

Proper harvest time for higher potency is another key factor.

We highly advocate the harvesting of herbs at the most appropriate time of ripening. No immature plants, no over ripped plants are selected. Herbs at their youth possess the maximum potency and we try our best to procure the herbs at that particular time period. There are guidelines for collection of different herbs at different times and there is a particular span of time for collecting herbs.

Using purified water: Water used also stands out as a major role player. Water is processed under DM plant, RO plant then converted into steam. That steam water is used in the processing of herbs to avoid any chance of heavy metal contamination.

Products as per Ayurvedic Standards: Herbs are powdered in their original form without extracting any oil or any of the active phyto-ingredient. Herb like turmeric, neem seeds, babchi, and yellow shatavari (from Nepal) has oil inside. We grind with the oil instead of extracting the oil because oil has also unique properties. This makes processing lengthy and involve lot of labour. But potency and full spectrum of the herb paysoff its price to user.

Further, the powdered herb undergoes wet trituration process – called BHAVANA in Ayurveda, which means the powdered herb is mixed with the fresh juice of the same herb so that powder made from these quality herbs are potent, effective and result oriented.

The trituration accentuates hidden medicinal properties of the herb and to ensure that the herb, as soon as administered, is absorbed quickly at the cell level. Subtlety should be the quality by virtue of which a product can penetrate into the smallest capillary and channels of the biological system.

Some herbs cannot undergo this bhavna process - such as Vidarikandkand, Shatavari yellow, Lajwant (Mimosa pudica) because they have mucilagenous properties and only the defined parts are used. In such cases, we like to combine different varieties of same herb to obtain maximum potency. Also each variety has some additional benefits to offer. For example, Tulsi has many varieties like Krishna or shyama Tulsi, Rama Tulsi, Vana Tulsi best way to use all varities of tulsi. This way it helps to provide maximum benefits of the same herb and also accounts for the full spectrum of the the plant family.

In certain herbs almost all parts of the plants are usable likewise in neem all the parts namely; stem, leaves, seeds & bark are known to be of utmost importance. In this case main part of the herb is powdered and rest of the parts are boiled in water to extract all the beneficial properties of those parts and this extracted liquid is used in the shape of bhavna. It is added to the main herb powder to get full spectrum of the herb. Why this is done? According to Ayurveda certain plants own acting and counteracting properties simultaneously. Some plants may have side effects, but also in other parts healing benefits to counteract. So various parts of the plant are used to balance the outcome & obtain full spectrum.

Certains herbs have different varieties. We at Satveda expanded our outlook and went further to know difference of the varieties. And the price that we pay for the difference certainly carries value in terms of escalated phyto-chemicals and antioxidant properties
